We don't want to imply that the Roadhouse was slow the night we visited, but we had to draw the bartender off his seat on the front steps to serve us our grog.
Obviously, a Harley bar. With a sign on the wall as you enter that reads:
PROPER DRESS REQUIRED
NO JACKETS
NO TIES
NO BROWN SHOES
It was evident that they enforced these rules by the slew of the
"trophies" displayed on the far wall.
Our burly but polite (in his own way) bartender was congenial enough to even turn the dart board light on for us. (Nothing like the Golden Turd, I mean Golden Circle). I guess this bar is hungry for customers and will go to these great lengths to prove it.
We enjoyed our stay at the rugged Roadhouse - even considered a second
beer - time flies though and we soon found ourselves in the parking lot
looking back at it's entrances and the Roadhouse's explicit sign next to
the front door "FOOD
TO
EAT". These guys are serious.
No photograph.
No text. Two photographs. Upper: a tall illuminated pole sign reading "Roadhouse" with a "Cocktails" panel and a "POOL TABLE" panel below it, standing in a forecourt. Behind it a commercial strip, a COLOR TILE store and a glass company sign. Lower: the hand painted sign beside the front door reading "FOOD / TO / EAT".
