If aquamarine bommer-rang formica is your scene, this place is for you. The Crystal is a long, narrow bar with an exit at either end - not that you'll want to leave - what, with Ernie serving up the brews, the color TV, the 10 pm beer belly measurements (Ernie thought he had a 42" but it topped out at an impressive 45") the dusty, yellowed Clydesdale's mode, and bright, fluorescent lighting, there's atmosphere o'plenty here. So curl up with your beer, it's plenty cold, and let Ernie tell you the bits of wisdom he's gathered - Quote "I'm not a fast bartender, I'm not a slow bartender, I'm a halfast bartender". Oddly, there's no Bud here. Only Miller, Coors & Miller Lite. My bar stool had been ripped out of the floor with only 4 bolt studs left in the floor. There was an older feel to the crowd. I'm not sure, but I think they miss us.
A must see.
