THE BARS OF LYNN

Night of 17 August 1986

15 Conti's Cafe

Walter is your bartender for the evening at this quaint bar located in the heart of historic Lynn. It's sad but whenever urban renewel is mentioned, it's places like this they want to put on the business end of a wrecking ball.

There are booths here but these reviewers choose some open stools at the bar. And what a bar!! If cheap beer is your thing, then it's $1.10 Buds will wet your whistle. Looks like maybe Conti's had some plans for some remodelling of the back room, but this was closed off to the public by an Army blanket. Although who knows, maybe they're planning a grand opening gala! They also had a real old timer there who was nursing a brew at a booth between periodically shuffling over to air his whiskers at the fan near us. Someone finally showed him out the door. Oddly, they also have an announcement for a dart team but no dart board - so leave em' at home.

Looks like the team is going to have to do a little fund raising.
